Platformer Experiment
KEYBOARD - [A, S, D, Space bar]
1 PLAYER
Originally a programming assignment turn exploration into what makes a good platformer, this project is bare bones but exhibits all that I learned. I've included coyote time, input buffering and variable jump height to make the controls feel smooth and responsive. In the environment you'll find semi-solids and moving platforms that carry you and give you their momentum when you jump off of them. as additional movement mechanics there's crouching and wall jumping / sliding.
My Role
I did everything you see here! I'm a programmer first so that's the focus but I've also designed the playground to demonstrate all the mechanics, and I've got some basic assets and animations in there too to give it some life.
